Our Story

There’s a moment every cyclist knows. The wind rushing past, the hum of tires on pavement or the crunch of gravel under knobby tires. The world goes quiet, and all that’s left is you, your breath, and the road—or the trail—ahead. That’s where adventure, freedom, and strength meet. And it’s where Ceridwen Coaching began.

I’ve seen firsthand what burnout, injury, and stress can do—not just to the body, but to the mind. As a cyclist, I’ve felt the power of movement to heal, reset, and empower. But I also know the cost of pushing too hard, of chasing progress without balance. I’ve been there, on the edge of burnout, asking whether this was really what endurance was meant to be.

That’s when I realized something had to change. Endurance is more than chasing a finish line. It’s about building something sustainable—something that carries you not through one race or one season, but through a lifetime of riding, exploring, and getting stronger. I started Ceridwen Coaching because I believed cyclists deserved more than generic plans and rigid metrics: guidance that respected their individuality, their journey, and their limits.

For years, that meant one-on-one coaching. Along the way it also meant writing—article after article on how to ride longer, stronger, and smarter without breaking yourself to do it. The coaching has since wrapped up, and I’m no longer taking clients. But the writing is what outlasted it, and it lives on right here.

What you’ll find is everything I learned and taught, written down and kept free: training and recovery, strength and mobility, fueling for long days, and the mental side of endurance riding. Whether you’re building toward your first Gran Fondo, chasing longer distances, or just trying to ride well without burning out, it’s here for you to dig into.

Because endurance was never about how hard you can push today. It’s about how far you can go, sustainably, for a lifetime. That belief is what filled these pages—and it’s why they’re staying up.
